Eligible CyberWarrior Courses
Which CyberWarrior programs qualify for WTFP reimbursement, formats, and certifications.
Which CyberWarrior programs qualify for WTFP reimbursement?
CyberWarrior is an approved WTFP Express vendor, meaning our programs are pre-qualified for WTFP reimbursement. Eligible programs include AI literacy and business AI training, and cybersecurity awareness training. The specific programs available for your cohort are confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation.
As an approved WTFP Express vendor, CyberWarrior's training programs are eligible for WTFP reimbursement — this approval has been confirmed by the Commonwealth Corporation, which reviewed our program quality, curriculum design, and credential structure.
Eligible program categories include:
- AI literacy and business AI training: Programs designed to help employees understand how AI tools work, how to apply them to their specific job functions, how to evaluate AI output, and how to work alongside automated systems.
- Cybersecurity awareness training: Programs designed to reduce human risk in cybersecurity — phishing recognition, password hygiene, data handling practices, and incident response basics.
Consulting engagements are NOT WTFP-eligible: CyberWarrior's AI Fast Start consulting engagement is not a WTFP training program. It is a consulting project, and WTFP covers training delivery costs only.
The specific programs available, their duration and format, and any associated third-party certifications (Google, Microsoft) are confirmed during a pre-enrollment consultation. Contact us to discuss which program is the right fit for your business.
Can we use WTFP for cybersecurity training?
Yes. CyberWarrior's cybersecurity awareness training programs are WTFP-eligible. Cybersecurity awareness is one of our two primary WTFP-funded program categories and aligns directly to the skills that reduce human risk and satisfy cyber insurance requirements for small businesses.
Yes. Cybersecurity awareness training is a core part of CyberWarrior's WTFP-eligible program catalog. These programs are designed for non-technical employees — not security engineers — and focus on the human behaviors that most frequently lead to security incidents: phishing recognition, password and credential hygiene, safe data handling, device security, and how to respond if something goes wrong.
The business case for cybersecurity awareness training is well-documented. Most small business cybersecurity incidents are attributable to human error. Awareness training directly reduces this risk. And for businesses carrying cyber liability insurance, completed employee security training is increasingly a requirement for coverage and a factor in premium calculations.
For Massachusetts employers, cybersecurity awareness training through CyberWarrior is WTFP-eligible, meaning you can train your team with partial or full government reimbursement.
If you are considering both AI literacy training and cybersecurity awareness training, talk to us about how to sequence them and how to structure the WTFP applications most effectively. The two programs complement each other: AI literacy helps your team use new tools effectively, and cybersecurity awareness helps your team use those same tools safely.

Are online courses eligible or does it have to be in person?
Both in-person and virtual training are eligible for WTFP reimbursement. CyberWarrior offers programs in both formats. The Commonwealth Corporation does not restrict WTFP funding to in-person delivery.
WTFP does not require training to be delivered in person. Online, virtual, and hybrid training formats are all eligible for reimbursement under the WTFP Express program, provided the other eligibility criteria are met.
CyberWarrior offers its training programs in three delivery formats:
- In-person: Delivered at your business location or a CyberWarrior facility. Works well for cohorts that benefit from hands-on, collaborative learning.
- Virtual (live online): Delivered via video conference with a live instructor. Participants can join from any location. Live virtual delivery maintains the interactive, role-based character of our programs — it is not pre-recorded video.
- Hybrid: A combination of in-person and virtual sessions.
For WTFP documentation purposes, virtual delivery requires the same attendance tracking as in-person delivery — participants are documented by name, and completion is verified. CyberWarrior provides attendance records for all delivery formats.
If your team is largely remote or spread across multiple Massachusetts locations, virtual delivery is often the most practical option. We will recommend the format that best fits your team's situation during the pre-enrollment consultation.
Can we do the training for just one department?
Yes. You can apply for WTFP funding for a single department, team, or function. You do not need to train your entire company. Many CyberWarrior clients start with one department — often the function with the most automation opportunity — and expand from there.
WTFP grants do not require you to train your entire workforce. You can apply for funding to train a single department, team, role type, or function group.
Common single-department training scenarios CyberWarrior sees:
- Sales or customer service teams: AI tools for faster lead response, smarter follow-up, and customer communication workflows.
- Administrative or operations staff: AI for document processing, scheduling, back-office automation, and data entry reduction.
- Leadership or management team: AI literacy at the decision-making level.
- IT or security staff: Cybersecurity awareness and threat recognition for employees with elevated access to sensitive systems.
The application specifies which employees will be trained, their roles, and how the training connects to their job functions. You do not claim more seats than you intend to fill.
Starting with one department is often the right move strategically: you test the CyberWarrior delivery model, demonstrate value to leadership, and build internal momentum before committing to a company-wide initiative.
How long are the training programs?
Program length varies by format and topic. Live workshops typically run one to two days (8–16 hours) for foundational training. More comprehensive programs with skill-building depth run across multiple sessions over one to four weeks. Duration is confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation.
CyberWarrior training programs are designed to be substantive enough to produce real skill change — not so long that they create operational disruption for small businesses.
- Live foundational workshops: Most single-topic programs are delivered in one to two full days of live instruction — typically 8 to 16 hours total.
- Multi-session programs: For programs that include both conceptual learning and hands-on application, instruction is spread across multiple sessions over one to four weeks.
- Custom cohort formats: For employers with specific scheduling constraints, we configure the delivery format to fit.
The specific format and duration for your program are confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation. We will not propose a format that does not fit how your business actually operates.
For WTFP documentation purposes, the program length and total training hours are documented on the completion certificate and in the attendance records we provide for the reimbursement submission.
What's the difference between the courses — which one is right for my team?
CyberWarrior offers programs in two primary categories: AI literacy for business operations, and cybersecurity awareness. Within those categories, programs are tailored to specific roles, skill levels, and industries. The right program is determined during a pre-enrollment consultation — we do not sell from a fixed course list.
CyberWarrior does not operate a fixed public course catalog where you select from a menu of options. We work within two broad program categories and customize the content for your team's specific context.
- AI literacy and business AI: Programs that build your team's ability to use AI tools in their actual job functions. The specific content depends on who is being trained and what they do.
- Cybersecurity awareness: Programs that build the habits and knowledge that reduce human-driven security incidents.
- Third-party certifications: Select programs include the opportunity to earn Google or Microsoft certifications.
The way to figure out which program is right for your team is to schedule a consultation call. We will ask about your team's current skill level, the specific job functions you want to improve, and your goals for the training. From there, we build a program recommendation with a proposed format, duration, and certification structure.
Is there a certification at the end?
Yes. All CyberWarrior training programs include a CyberWarrior certificate of completion. Select programs also include third-party certifications from Google or Microsoft. Which certifications are included in a specific program is confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation.
Yes. Every participant who completes a CyberWarrior training program receives a CyberWarrior certificate of completion. This certificate documents the program name, completion date, and the competencies covered.
In addition to the CyberWarrior certificate, select programs include third-party certifications from Google and/or Microsoft. These are credentials issued by the technology companies themselves — not by CyberWarrior — and carry significant employer recognition.
Which specific third-party certifications are included depends on the program:
- Not all programs include third-party certifications
- Programs that include a Google or Microsoft certification require the participant to complete the relevant assessment or exam
- Participants who do not pass the third-party exam on the first attempt may have access to a re-attempt
The specific certifications included in any program you are considering will be confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation.
For WTFP documentation: the CyberWarrior certificate of completion is the primary completion credential used in the reimbursement process.
What certificate will my employees receive?
All CyberWarrior program completers receive a CyberWarrior certificate of completion. Select programs also include third-party certifications from Google or Microsoft. The specific certifications for your chosen program are confirmed during the pre-enrollment consultation.
Every employee who successfully completes a CyberWarrior training program receives a CyberWarrior certificate of completion. This is a formal, professionally designed credential issued in the participant's name, documenting the program completed, the date of completion, and the competency areas covered.
The certificate is suitable for:
- Employee performance and development records
- LinkedIn profile and resume documentation
- WTFP completion documentation for reimbursement purposes
- Internal skills tracking and workforce planning
For programs that include third-party certifications: participants who pass the relevant Google or Microsoft assessment receive a credential issued directly by that company. These credentials are digital and are widely recognized by employers.
Participants who do not complete the program — due to attendance shortfalls or other factors — do not receive a completion certificate. This is relevant for WTFP reimbursement, which is tied to completion. We track completion carefully during programs and flag any participants who are at risk of not completing.
The CyberWarrior certificate is delivered digitally within five business days of program completion.
